Project Highlights:

Laurel Woods Estates is a residential conservation subdivision consisting of 160 single-family residential home sites.  The subdivision lends itself to meandering walking paths, fostering a sense of neighborhood throughout the community.  Along with large water features and a covered pavilion, a playground is planned so that the residents of the community can enjoy family gatherings for many years to come.

Estates at Carova Beach
Residential Planned Unit Development

Location:  Carova, North Carolina

Project Highlights:

Originally platted as several “Business Areas”, BPG in conjunction with the developers designed, and permitted a subdivision that maximizes the utilization of undeveloped land in three sections of Carova Beach, while preserving large expanses of more environmentally sensitive land, including wetlands and maritime forest areas.  The design resulted in the preservation of nearly 28 acres of open space for public use, without reducing the lot yield for the subdivision.

Albemarle Plantation
Residential Planned Unit Development
 

Location:  Hertford, North Carolina

Project Highlights:

Albemarle Plantation is an established gated residential golf and marina community located on the waterfront of the beautiful Albemarle Sound in northeastern, NC. Albemarle Plantation offers a Dan Maples designed 18-hole championship golf course, multiple outdoor tennis court facilities, a 12,000 sq.ft. Clubhouse with restaurant, grill room and meeting rooms, a wellness center, as well as biking and walking trails. In addition, the 212-slip Albemarle Plantation Marina is one of the largest private facilities along the Eastern Seaboard, accommodating crafts up to 60’ in length. BPG’s current focus is on the planning and design of a Wellness Center which will encompass an outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, paddle tennis, bocci courts, croquet area, outdoor pavilion, playground as well as other on-site amenities. Bissell Professional Group is pleased to have provided engineering services to Albemarle Plantation over the course of the past 13 years.

Project Highlights:

The Kinnakeet Shores Resort, located in Avon, NC, is a 500 ac. ocean to soundfront community offering the finest amenities including a swim and tennis club, an oceanfront beach club, and 69 acres of freshwater lakes available for fishing, canoeing, kayaking and sail boating. An emphasis has been placed upon achieving the delicate balance between development and nature. A walkable and scalable community has been created that minimizes environmental impacts, while providing access for those to enjoy this natural setting. Bissell Professional Group has provided professional services related to the planning design and development of this community for approximately 25 years.

Project Highlights:

Pirate’s Cove resort is a 500-acre private, gated residential and waterfront resort community located in Manteo, NC.  This private island is surrounded by the Roanoke Sound and protected by preservation land. Amenities include a full service marina, restaurant, swimming pools, clubhouse, tournament pavilion and more to service the part-time and year around residents. Bissell Professional Group has provided an array of professional services related to the planning design and development of this community for approximately 20 years.

Location: Point Harbor, North Carolina

Project Highlights:

The Kilmarlic Residential Subdivision and Golf Club located in Powell’s Point, Currituck County, NC sits among 605 acres of maritime forest and sprawling wetlands and balances the harmony of environment, residential development and golf. The development offers a full range of active amenities, including a championship golf course, a health and fitness center, an outdoor pool, walking trails in preserved natural areas, spectacular sunsets, a sound-front park and gazebo and a 7,000 s.f. Club House. The state-of-the-art facility Health & Racquet facility features an indoor fitness facility, a Junior Olympic-sized swimming pool, four Har-Tru clay tennis courts, four hard tennis courts, a basketball court, a pool-side cafe, and baseball practice facilities. Bissell Professional Group provided a wide range of planning, engineering and surveying services for the development of the 143-residential lots and supporting amenities beginning in 1999 continuing through 2008.

Four Seasons Residential Resort Subdivision located in Duck NC offers its guests and owners access to an impressive catalogue of community amenities, a gorgeous coastal setting and close proximity to the unique shops and fabulous restaurants of Duck.  Amenities include a Clubhouse with indoor pool, fitness facility and game room, an outdoor pool, a soundside pier, playground, volleyball courts, basketball court and lighted tennis courts, lighted bike and jogging trail, as well as convenient sidewalks throughout the community that lead to the beach. Bissell Professional Group has continued to provide planning, design development, and construction services for this community since it’s inception in 1999.

Project Highlights:

Fronting the majestic Currituck Sound on the Outer Banks, Waterside Villages is a private, gated Active Adult Retirement Community with 148 single family houses and 84 multi-family units, for a total of 232 dwelling units. Community amenities include an outdoor and indoor pool, tennis and basketball courts, a clubhouse, members’ kitchen, chapel, jogging and walking trails with exercise stations designed around an historic Currituck County theme, marina, boat ramp, and scenic areas.
